Standard domestic or commercial laundry furniture does not fit the specific dimensions and requirements of a superyacht laundry space. Custom furniture is designed to the exact room layout — maximising storage within limited space, providing correct working heights for crew, integrating sorting and folding workflows, and using materials that withstand the salt-air marine environment.
Marine-grade 316L stainless steel is the premium choice for corrosion resistance and longevity. Moisture-resistant laminate with stainless or aluminium edging is the most cost-effective option for most vessels. All fixings and hinges should be stainless steel. Powder-coated steel is acceptable in areas with good ventilation but not recommended in humid laundry environments.
